Privacy Policy

Overview

Nimra is operated by Nimra Digital LLC. This policy explains what information Nimra collects, why, and who it is shared with. We collect only what is needed to run your numbers, calls, texts and voicemail.

Information we collect

Account details you provide (email address and display name); the phone numbers you rent; call history; the content of text messages you send and receive and of voicemails received on your numbers, with the numbers you text, including voicemail recordings and transcripts; contacts you save in the app, with any email address and notes you add; numbers you block; your settings (such as forwarding, quiet hours and language); push-notification tokens for your device; records of purchases and your credit balance; messages you send to Nimra support, with the app version, language and phone system they were sent from; the internet (IP) address you sign up from, and the country it points to; how you use the app: the steps you take in it (such as opening Get a number, buying a number, adding credit, or how a call ended), with the phone's model, system and mobile network, the app version, language and time zone, and your internet (IP) address and the city and country it points to, linked to your account. Never the numbers you call or text, what your messages say, names or contacts, and nothing on your screen is recorded; and crash reports when the app fails (what went wrong, the app version and the phone model and system version, not linked to your account, except the copy kept with your app use).

How we use it

To provide calling, text messages and voicemail; to show caller names for numbers not in your contacts; to transcribe voicemails; to send you notifications; to process purchases and apply credit; to provide support; to find and fix crashes; to see where the app is hard to use, and fix it; to prevent abuse and fraud; and to meet legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, or to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Service providers we share with

We share the minimum data necessary with the providers that run the service: Telnyx (telecom carrier: routes calls and texts, looks up caller names, and transcribes voicemail audio); Supabase (database, sign-in and storage); Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and the Apple Push Notification service (notifications); Google Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports); PostHog (how the app is used, and app errors, kept in the European Union); Resend (email delivery for support messages); and Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat (in-app purchases). They process data only to provide their part of the service.

Data kept on your phone

Some things never leave your device: the App lock (fingerprint, face or PIN) is handled entirely by your phone; the home-screen widget stores only your latest verification code on the device; and when "Auto-copy codes" is on, a new code is placed on your phone's clipboard. The microphone is used only during calls.

Message, call & voicemail content

To show you your texts, call history and voicemails, this content is stored in your account. Carriers necessarily process communications in order to route them. Do not send information through Nimra that you are not comfortable being transmitted over telecom networks.

Retention & deleting your account

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time in Settings › Account & legal › Delete account. Your numbers are released at the same time. Some records may be kept by carriers or payment processors, or where the law requires, after deletion. If you received a welcome credit, we keep a one-way code made from your email address after deletion, only so the same address can't receive it twice.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your account data is restricted to your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

No sale of data, no tracking

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it, including your phone numbers and text messages, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers and texting opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the carriers and the provider (Telnyx) that deliver the texts. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Children & eligibility

Nimra is not intended for anyone under 18 (or the age of majority where you live).

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; the date of the latest version is shown here. For privacy questions, or to request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us at support@nimra.app.
